J.Cota Photographs are Worth a Million Words.

We are so excited to have Jennifer Cota returning to help at LifeWorks Home Improvement Challenge (HIC).  HIC brings together corporate teams, designers and community members to make over clients’ apartments. The clients live in our Supportive Housing Program and are working towards self-sufficiency. They often have very little furnishings and see their apartments as merely shelter. HIC helps to make their space feel more like a home so that they can have a relaxing place to study, spend time with family and recharge.

This will be Jennifer’s third year photographing the event. Her photos not only capture the renovated place, but also the emotions the clients cannot help but reveal. Clients describe the transformation as life changing and react with comments such as “It feels like home now,” and ” I can’t believe this is mine.” Many of our clients are former foster care youth and have never before experienced having basic things they can call their own. This event would not be a success without supporters like Jennifer.

Want to help? We are still looking for one more photographer. Email heather.newby@lifeworksaustin.org
We could also use:
-Paint pans, brushes and rollers
-Paint
-Breakfast and snack foods

Jennifer is a modern classic family and wedding photographer in Austin and her work is inspired by Love. Follow her blog at http://www.jcotaphotography.com/blog/  — we certainly do!
