Get ready, Austin! It’s time for The White Party!

LifeWorks’ signature White Party is happening May 25 at the Long Center and this year’s event is looking to be the most spectacular to date. Thanks to some fantastic sponsors, attendees will enjoy a fun filled evening beneath Austin’s gorgeous skyline all while contributing to LifeWorks’ mission to transition youth and families from crisis to safety and success.

First time attendees should know The White Party is not just one of LifeWorks’ biggest fundraisers but, it is also one of the most anticipated charity events in Austin. Since its inaugural run in 2008, The White Party has been featured in numerous publications such as Austin Lifestyle Magazine, TRIBEZA and the Austin American Statesman. Rest assured this event is one of the most talked about every year.

Sponsors of The White Party are among Austin’s most talented. Kennedy Creative, provider of our décor and furnishings, has been commissioned by big companies like DELL, Microsoft and Intel.  Upon reading testimonials given by former Kennedy clients, one can’t help but be excited about their vision for this year’s party. ILIOS Lighting has provided ambiance for several popular LifeWorks events and you can be sure that they will be bringing their A-game to The White Party.

This event would not be complete without a generous spread of delectable eats for everyone to enjoy. Some amazing samplings have been served up in years past and 2012 will be no exception. The White Party Tasting Grove will feature menu selections from local vendors Swift’s AtticPaggi House and Holy CacaoFlemings Steakhouse is this year’s VIP Tasting sponsor. Grey Goose Vodka will have the drinks flowing while DJ Manny delivers the jams.

From the very beginning, The White Party has received a ton of support from businesses and esteemed community members. Local entrepreneurs  Joe Ross and Kendra Scott have played pivotal roles co-chairing the White Party since 2008. Joe Ross currently serves on the LifeWorks board and is the president of CSIdentity, sponsor of many of our events and one of the teams involved in our Home Improvement Challenge. Kendra Scott, founder of Kendra Scott Jewelry, has partnered with LifeWorks on countless projects and is a generous contributor to Project Holiday Help.  Both Ross and Scott have shown tremendous leadership in creating awareness about LifeWorks’ mission and we are very proud to have them as Honorary Co-Chairs for this year’s White Party.

More than 700 guests attended The White Party last year and over $135,000 was raised for LifeWorks. This year the goal has been set at $150,000. We are expecting another fantastic turnout and we look forward to sharing the evening with such a giving and generous community.
So mark your calenders for Friday, May 25 because LifeWorks has quite the evening planned for all you fashionable Austinites. The party takes place from 8 p.m – Midnight at the Long Center City Terrace at 701 West Riverside Drive. Tickets can be purchased online for $175 and $200 at the door.
Still not convinced the The White Party will be the hottest event of 2012? Check out Bill Wilson’s photos from last year and see for yourself just how much fun was had by all of our guests.
